These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StoryPilot mobile application and website (the "Service") operated by StoryPilot ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Use of Service
StoryPilot provides location-based audio stories, travel data (eSIM), and related services. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
2. Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account with a valid email address. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
Free Tier: Includes up to 3 stories per day with basic features.
Pro Subscription: Provides unlimited stories, auto-play mode, additional voices, and premium features. Subscriptions are billed through the applicable app marketplace on your device.
eSIM Purchases: eSIM data plans are one-time purchases processed through our secure payment provider. Plans are non-refundable once activated.
Subscription pricing and features are subject to change with reasonable notice. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings.
4. Content
Audio stories are generated by artificial intelligence using publicly available information (including Wikipedia and other open sources). While we strive for accuracy, stories are for entertainment and educational purposes and should not be relied upon as the sole source of factual information.
You may not record, redistribute, or commercially use the audio content generated by StoryPilot without our written permission.
5. Location Services
Certain features (including auto-play and nearby story discovery) require access to your device's location. You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device settings. Disabling location will limit some features.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
- Create automated accounts or use bots to interact with the Service
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service
7. Intellectual Property
The StoryPilot name, logo, app design, and generated content are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryPilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting discover@storypilot.io.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
